My association with Hot Pink Mamas began quite by accident, yet my chance meeting with one of your members has turned out to be my saving grace. I came to one of the networking luncheons carrying my Hot Pink briefcase, (which is why your member introduced the club to me!) As a professional videographer, I have suffered setbacks due to the economy, so I was delighted to network with other professional women who not only offered advice, but lifted my spirits, gave me referrals, and sent business my way that has now filled my daytimer. After only 2 weeks of being in the Hot Pink Mamas, I booked a wedding for $1,800.00, and have booked website videos for several of the other members. I have more than recouped my small investment on what you, Patty, told me was a leap of faith. I want to thank you, and also the great members of our networking group for wrapping their arms around me and lifting me out of a really tough situation.

I've decided to think pink. I'm a brand new member of the HOT Pink Mamas, but already I'm seeing and feeling the potential. First off I should say I'm a little wary of women's groups, the dynamics can be unpredictable at best. But I was encouraged to come to an event. Immediately my fears vanished, Hot Pink Mamas brings out everything wonderful about being a woman: kindness, conversation, connecting. I work as an internet consultant, but my passion is my nonprofit website I just launched. The site will be a social media place for other charities and nonprofits. Right now we are only in the fund-raising stage. As soon as I shared this with my HOT Pink Mamas group, I received a huge amount of interest. In only two meeting I've collected nearly a dozen contacts directly and indirectly and we didn't launch the website til yesterday! The other awesome thing is that not only have I gotten referrals to charities and charity resources, but people are also interested in my business just because I'm so interested in using my abilities to help nonprofits. I attend a networking group called Hot Pink Mamas and Red Hot Papas . I know, funny name, but the group is serious about providing networking opportunities for its members. While you'll find a number of multi-level marketing, independent business representatives & micro-businesses (not exactly my target audience), there are a number of quality folks within the group. You should find members of the group friendly and inviting, creating an atmosphere to gain knowledge and business contacts especially if you fall into any of those business categories. Once a month I attend their Summerlin networking roundtable at Marie Calendar's on West Sahara and Cimarron in Las Vegas. The networking group has several of these roundtables throughout the month in various parts of town. I find these networking roundtables to be the most valuable aspect of the organization as you get to interact with a small number, usually no more than a dozen people, on a more regular basis. In addition, there's no real pressure to bring leads for others at the roundtables or be forced to pay fines and adhere to ridiculous rules like a lot of networking groups. There is an attendance policy, but it's very flexible as you can send a substitute and only have to make every other meeting. Each month a different member has the opportunity to present to the group with a 5 to 10 minute speech regarding their business.
